Can't let this go. The USS NIMITZ is CVN 68 - first and namesake of its class. The ship outlines all show the NIMITZ for that class although it is the only one with the one projection out front. That is the ramp for the vistigial "bridle arresting gear" - the NIMITZ is the only modern carrier so equipped. I spent 10 months at sea aboard.
