Approximately 25 years ago, I looked into a certain kind of consulting. The firms that offer these services are the same firms that do actuarial consulting (defined benefit pension plans and such). I met with a couple of principals of a couple of the main firms in Seattle, who were Fellows. They were nice fellas. Personable. I considered the actuarial track for a few days, and declined.
But I hafta say.....these guys' offices were the coolest I have ever personally visited. They were so high up you could practically see the curvature of the Earth. They were in corners, so you could see Mt. Rainier and parts of the Cascades and ALL of the Olympics. Breathtaking is the most descriptive term I can think of. They were also spacious. Their salaries were WELL into six figures. Twenty-five years ago. And they were relatively young men. Just sayin'.
But......read Motion's thread. There's more to life than having the finest office view in Seattle.
