In 3-4 years, this will be an awesome used car. There will be chips, turbo kits, mods, etc because of the production volume and the fact that, being a subaru/toyota engine, it'll be an indestructible tank from the factory.
But I would never pay $25k for something brand new that is slower than... well, everything.
My Lotus wasn't much more than these things are gonna cost. Think about that. I had a guy at work that owns a Hyundai Genesis Coupe, and when he saw my lotus he was like "damn man I really wish I could have one of those"... I was like... you can... it probably cost less than your Hyundai. I really don't understand people. I went through the same things with the Boxster and people "wow I wish I could have one of those"... go on craigslist and pick one up for $13k then... it's not hard.
New cars are for suckers and women who cannot learn to change their own oil and sparkplugs.
