Hey folks,
First off let me say a heart felt thanks to everyone who sent thoughts and prayers our way. I can't even begin to say how much it is appreciated. I am extremely grateful. I still have a couple of phone calls to return which I have not mustered the strength to do yet.....
I am sad to say that today may have been the worst day of my life. I am a true believer in a positive outlook and treat each day as a gift. Sadly, I said good bye to my mom today. I chose today as there is a good chance she may not be there to hear me tomorrow. We took her off the drugs that were keeping her alive yesterday afternoon as there was no hope. It was extremely difficult, but I sensed it was very difficult for her as she is aware of her situation..... I hope I still get another chance to say a couple of things tomorrow that I should have said today. I know she knows what I will say, but some things are worth repeating.
At any rate, I ask one last favour of you folks that were kind enough to read this thread.... Go hug the people in your life that are important to you and tell them you love them.
Thank you again for all the kind thoughts that I believe bought me some extra days with one of the strongest women the world has ever seen.
