If you want to adjust valves and save the oil you can tilt the car.
I haven't seen posted the relationship between lash and ambient temp, there has to be a wide range of temperatures that would be encountered around the world that will produce an acceptable lash with 0.1mm feeler. Germany as a country tends to have temperatures on the low side compared to many. My guess you are fine at 26F.
