Anyone have actual data on student loan balances, default rates, government and private lender losses, effect on tuition, etc?

Silly people choosing to load up on debt - not sure why that is a societal problem, even though it is always fun to sneer at unemployed English majors. That debt load resulting in major taxpayer losses or other problems - that would be actually interesting.
