I was thinking bad gas as well, however, I was putting in 91 octane and I filled up in Sioux Falls, SD, then again in Kearney, NE and it was still doing it.

I went back up to my home land of ND for the weekend.

Because I was able to let it sit over night and it was fine the next day, I'm pretty certain something was heating up too hot. I also noticed that on my way there, as I got into sub-zero temps, it quit missing as much.

I question the mixture a bit because I'm sure there are some sensors in there that read temp and control the fuel air mixture based on the temp. So, my theory is that when it was cold, I was runnning the correct mixture and as it became thoroughly warm after seven hours, the dme started leaning the mixture out a little too much. I'm going to hook some type of permanent mixture meter up soon.

One of the strange things I noticed about the miss was that if I changed speed by a variance of about 10 Mph up or down and held it there, it was fine, no missing for about 15 minutes.

The other strange thing was that even when it was missing on the interstate, it still idled fine when I pulled in to get gas, and always fired right up after shutting it off.

Since it appears to be temp. related, I wonder how bad it will be in the summer?
