So you could go up to her with a straight face, and start off a speech about how you have suddendly realized that your resistance to Possil, is not only emotionally juvenile, but also unfair to her on a father-daughter level.. And you now realize that you were in the wrong and want to make amends... Then suggest going to some kind of relationship counseling with Possil to work it out..
