I just read (re-read? maybe not the best memory) this thread. I'm struck by how many excellent options, across the price spectrum there are for a .22 handgun whose primary use will be target shooting. Reliable, accurate, and durable aren't really different goals, but rather a common starting point. As long as you aren't limited to a $50 budget, it seems as though you'd almost have to intentionally make a poor choice. Incidentally, put me down in the Single-Six camp, safe, simple, shoots better than I can, and will consume without issue any ammo it is fed.
