I have a 97 Boxster and the vacuum booster was replaced about 2 years ago. This also required the master cylinder and pedal and bracket to be replaces. The pedal does not have a gradual feel to it as does my daily driver. There is no water in the cowl area and the drains are clear. Before starting the car, if I press the brake pedal, there is no sound like a hissing as in the other car. I've done the test that the manual has, pump the pedal about 10 times, hold it down and start the engine. The pedal does go about 2" down before becoming solid. Any ideas? I'm thinking the feel should be more gradual than it is. Thanks for your help. Dave Anderson
