I have ALWAYS had Lutheran (and Peace Lutheran) Ministers/Reverends/Priests/Pastors introduced to me as Father (male and female). I had always understood they were considered as a priest.
Research shows:
We are BOTH correct.
In America Lutheran Reverands are "generally" referred to as Pastor. In Europe (outside of Scandinavia) they are "generally" referred to as Priest. And so it goes in other areas of the world.
Interesting that I had always been introduced to a Father (Priest) but I guess that goes back to my Anglican roots?
Don't you hate it when we cannot even light heartedly jab at each other because we are both right. And both wrong. Ahhh, well.
