Just wanted to add that the O'Reilly's in Houston is my go to place. Similar bad experiences at Autozone/pepboys etc, but at the two Oreilly's I have had some very knowledgalble people. When asking for a hard brake line with a fitting the counter guy had actually spent alot of time under a 930.
As was noted, sometimes the manner in which you treat people will dictate how they respond. Have a nice day.
