Pull the engine tin and clean out the mouse nests, pine needles, spark plugs, and other stuff that gets trapped in there.
The fluids/filters you mention are fine. Some insist that any generic 90-weight gear oil is fine; I like Swepco.
The MC jack should work well on the 914 drivetrain, if you can get enough of a drop with it to clear the 914 body. The first time I dropped a 914 engine, we had to go back and jack the body up again to get more clearance.
