I prefer to be alone over the feeling of rejection, but constantly thinking of what might have been would drive me mad.

My whole life I have tended to prefer being alone among my peers- and doing lab reports alone for the most part. It's really not that bad. There is a lot that is nice about it. I still have a few good friends like my Dad, though. So I am not totally alone.

It is great because I can pour all my time into my passions for cars, bikes, outdoors, whatever. It is only when I have a break between those projects or activities that I feel the lonliness.
