My latest Parkerizing project...

Our bass player at church has a Remington 870 that had seen better days and I offered to Parkerize it for him. All he had to pay was $50 for the sandblaster and I used aluminum gutter, cut to length and I caulked the end caps on it. It worked very well. The barrel turned out almost black and the receiver is a gray color, which I expected. The barrel must be made from a different steel, because the parts were all prepped, Parkerized and finished exactly the same way and all parts were put in the tank together.

Sorry for the crappy pics, but these were taken with my iPhone, the Canon camera takes much better pics, but the "auto resize" feature on the forum doesn't work any more, so I can't post pics from that camera.

No "before" pics, these are all "after"... The "blotchiness" is the grease that is on the parts that were Parkerized... The finish is nice and even...
