My 2000 Carrera threw the dreaded CEL last week. I called Momentum Porsche and made an appointment. I patiently waited a little more than 1 hour for the dealer to tell me that I had not properly replaced the oil cap when I added oil. This dealership has done me right several times now. Total price to get CEL fixed, $0.0
The oil cap was on but not on "properly". Just a heads up on this issue. I would not have suspected that the oil cap can cause the CEL to light up.
