I've been in JYSK and was never impressed with their stuff. Most of it is crap and the things that were OK I could get cheaper elsewhere. I've never bought anything from them.
Ikea's stuff is entry level, but for KD the quality is for the most part good. The kitchens have good Blum hardware, but it's of lower quality than the Blum stuff you would normally get in a custom kitchen build. An example of this is the hinge bases and cups are pressed steel, were as Blum hardware usually has stainless steel cast bases and cups. I assume that Blum makes these just for Ikea as a cost savings while still having the Blum name and quality. They do lots of other things to cut costs as well, that's how they make their coin.
To have modern furniture with excellent quality it will cost you and most likely be custom.
I owned a cabinet shop (high end and store fixtures) till I sold it several years ago.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.
