Most of the scars you see on me in my bike photos were from a low-side about a year later on the Snake. I was not going faster than usual but for some reason the tires slid out from under me. I had bad road rash everywhere. Legs and arms. I was riding the next day, though.

That first accident caused me to hear at about half volume in my right ear. That was from the blood swelling from the cracked skull and vein or something and it was pressing on a nerve that caused me to loose sensation and most muscle control on that side of my face. There was a ringing in my ears bad for a long time and they wanted to puncture the eardrum to let the fluid out but I did not want them to. I still have a ringing in my ears if things are quiet. I guess it could be from that.

I was a really cranky patient. I did not like going to all the follow-up stuff and wanted to just let myself heal on my own. I was really ashamed of all the medical expenses. I hate hospitals.
