Max, I am sorry if I offended you. I don't mind some banter about your dating but lets try to keep it from going on for multiple pages, day after day. Everything has been said. You have heard the same advice from everyone. Girls don't really have cooties and they rarely bite. Ignore the fact that you are not attracted to a particular girl, talk to them as well! One of my friends had a sister that was "challenged in life" with her looks. She really was a neat chick once you got past her looks.
Over 1/2 of the population is female. California has a lot of gay men so that helps your odds even more.
Don't worry about finding a "girlfriend" just some female friends. Girls usually have other friends. Once they know you are a nice guy, they love to play matchmaker. Never turn down a blind date. You may have to kiss a few frogs to find the princess.
