Agreed. I haven't 'purchased' a new car since 2002, and the last new one I 'leased' was in 2007. My current daily driver is 11 years old, has 240K miles, and it's in fantastic shape (I drove it to California and back in December). So I think I'll keep it around awhile. Cars last longer now-a-days. 200K is the new 100K.
The 'average' 3 series sold has a MSRP over $45K. But the average 3 series is also leased.
