OEM means the same manufacturer makes it. It does not always mean the same spec. Porsche crank bearings for example. The Porsche ones are each individually mic'd in three spots before going out. The OEM ones are not (and lately have has issues). For critical stuff like this I started buying Porsche,because of the aforementioned issues.
