Just remember to duct tape the cut off finger of a rubber glove (with the tip cut off) on the end of the tube that sticks out of the patient; to act as a one-way valve. When penetrating into the chest cavity, go over the top of the rib, not along the underside as that's where the neurovascular bundle lies. Aim up if going for air. Aim down if going for blood. Try not to skewer the lung parenchyma, itself.
