to make one of these HK USP FULL SIZE .45's into a MATCH .45 entails ONLY THESE ITEMS from HK:
1) muzzle compensator or screw on 4 prong flash hider about the same thing.
2) factory match barrel or threaded barrel both with o-ring for tighter lockup basically the same.
3) factory adjustable rear sights
4) factory trigger kit
all available from hkparts.com or hkspecialist.com
thats it! NOTHING MORE and sure beats the hell out of $3500 which was what the last HK MATCH went for NIB on gunbroker.com
like i said i have done a few(ALOT) of these over my lifetime, and the simple drill on any HK is if the factory still supports it................then send it in and have hk georgia go thru the entire thing stem to stern. they will call you with a list of items, and you tell them ya want the trigger kit installed if offered, the rear match sights etc. they put it all back together, you pay for the upgrades and WAA-LAA suddenly you have a damn nice shooter.
i skated in on the tail of factory repairs on both of my HK P9S .45 and 9mm's before they stopped supporting them. both of those repairs WERE FREE! unreal customer service. amd they proof shot them and sent me back there targets with a ton of swag to boot.
so as i said if i receive it friday, we clean the hell out of it,inspect it. then sunday shoot the hell out of it, clean it again and call hk get RGA number and ship it overnight to hk georgia with my complaints if any, and then get it back, take to robar, and then its off to the races.
i can honestly say i have never had a problem with ANY HK over 30years now.
sending a po-po trade in back into the factory, gives me a warm fuzzy that some nitwit in some backwater wasnt playing armorer when he didnt have a clue what to do.
