I had the same issues driving back from N.M. with my newly acquired 944. The PO had replaced the actuator but said that he had brake lite (the one that comes on when there's a pad sensor problem) issues and that he suspected that it was knocking the cruise control out of engagement. When I rebuilt the brakes, I kept braking the little plastic sensor trying to insert it in the new pads so I just cut all the wires and soldered the ends and encased them in liquid rubber. No sensor issues now. When I engage the system, it works but if I hold down the lever to make it accelerate (I think that's how it's supposed to work), it kicks it off. So, I'm content to get to the speed I need and engage it and it works fine, disengages when it's supposed to.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
