My regular doc (who I like a lot) is a stickler for family history and the genetics of certain diseases. I had one (or two) grandparents die of colon cancer so I'm a somewhat higher risk. If my dad had died of it, I'd be at a really high risk. As it stands he died of bladder cancer at 86, which is hopefully less worrisome as it seems that for men, prostate and bladder cancer are booby prizes for living a long time (80+).
