Epiphany: Max (and Dave) you guys need to borrow my dog. She gets compliments all the time. Chicks love dogs. Hike, farmer's market, strolling through campus or down Ventura Blvd--it doesn't matter. Next greatest ice-breaker to a baby (which has certain implications that might run counter to picking up a woman).
