Hesitation under hard acceleration
Hey,
I've got a 1973 2.0
I've been working it back into shape. I've worked thru Kjell Nelin's procedure for renewing and testing the fuel injection and I've adjusted the valves and set the dwell and timing.
As a result of these activities I've replaced all five leaky Injectors, the Head Temp. Sensor and Resistor and the Throttle Position Switch. In addition I've cleaned the Throttle Body and checked the Aux. Air Valve.
So it's running pretty good, cold idle at 1000, drops down to 800 as the Aux. Air closes. I do have a bit of an idle oscillation when warm from 800 to 1000 and back. I'm still looking for vacuum leaks.
The better it's run the more I've had a tendency to accelerate quickly. Recently it's begun to stumble under hard acceleration. It's great when your up to speed and at idle. It's not a problem when accelerating normaly but when you put the pedal to the floor it stumbles.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
