but as my Vegas aunts would say it's such a dry heat... I don't give a f@ck if it's 0% humidity it's still 110 out! The worst part about it is like you said opening the door at midnight and finding the temperature has not gone down...
Driving through north Arizona a few years back on the way to Ok we looked at the thermometer in the truck right as it hit midnight and 100F...
My house does not have ac, never really wished it did bottom floor is usually 10-15 degrees cooler than than the rest of the house though.
