Interestingly, the area we are focusing on "Americana Folk writing" is made up of a good size collection of non-books. These might be letters, newspaper columns, short stories, poems, etc. All of these writings would be considered literature in this genre.
This differentiates the festival with much of the classic literature most people think of in books -Dickens, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Byron, Shelley, etc.
