I'm sure there are plenty of debates on whether this makes power or not in the forums. It definitely makes more noise which I like by eliminating the air flow to the muffler in the airbox. There discussions on how to accomplish that for almost free. Being able to remove the muffler in the airbox makes sense to me as does smoothing out the intake tube.
