It's actually pretty convenient, being a one-piece thing. And....it seems to actually have the balls to handle gigging in small and medium-sized clubs. Even with a loud drummer and two guitarists who compete with each other. When the music gets "messy" like that, I can find settings that will bite through the mix. Bass players sometimes need to show some leadership.

But eventually, I will need something bigger. You ask about weight, and I have been jonesing for an SVT for, oh....about forty years. I fell in love with their tone while I was still a teenager. The head alone weighs nearly a hundred pounds. The speaker cabinet is the size of a refrigerator. But here's the deal: Everyone, and I mean everyone, who has used one reports that there is nothing else like it. For tone or dynamics. One guy recently reported that his gigs are either small (500 to 1500) or large (2000 to 5000) and his volume knob at the larger gigs is set at 3.5. I really REALLY want an SVT.

But for now, I am still having some great fun with it's little baby brother, the BA-115HPT.
