When I first read this thread it brought out my worst fears of owning a vintage car. I hate the thought of having an alarm, but I'm going to look into a kill switch or some sort of immobilizer.
I am inclined to agree with the other members and doubt that the picture of the tub that you posted is your car. Hopefully it will turn up in one piece. Good luck.
