well other then the COTA there is only one track in the US that is up to F1 standards, and thats Indy, and I believe they had to spend 110 million to bring that track up to F1 specs. I attended the F1 races at Indy and thought it was a good venue, but in the wrong city. Indianapolis y is very well know for a specific race, the indy 500, and its not an F1 race.

with a purpose built, world class track, where F1 would be the main attraction will be enough to keep the race there for the duration of the contract and likely beyond.
