Paint is not cheap, everyone thinks they have some type of grasp on what it takes to paint a early Porsche but in reality most do not. I do quality paint starting around $15k without rust repair. Its a ton of work and cheap dumb imported laborers have no clue how to fit and paint one of these cars. You get what you pay for, it is best to find a very competent intelligent restorer and then your car will achieve these high 6 figure values.

If these cars would achieve $250k in a couple years then I am moving to the beach in an expensive community.

To compare a market buy..... I picked up a 73 911S in Indiana late last year with 62,000 original mile no rust anywhere for $35,000, needing restoration but complete, leather seats however and not sports seats. I will gladly sell it for $250k in perfect concours show winning condition. Give me a call, even in 3-5 years when you are searching old threads.

I wonder what my Black/Black 73 911E with 16,000 original miles is worth?
