I have coloring pretty similiar to that little girl, actually my skin is a bit darker. I can just about guarantee that little girl was NOT inside of a tanning bed.

She would look like a cross between a solar flare and an exploding tomato.

So I suspect the mother is telling the truth. The mother is an odd duck, a tanned to the point of being dried out like beef jerky odd duck, but I really think she is truthful with this.
