Really consider joining the Bonanza Society and when you can, go for their training programs. You get to meet a bunch of other Bonanza owners and really learn about your plane. One course is on mountain flying/high altitude. They meet in Leadville, Co. and you get to practice taking off and landing at North America's highest airport. Their programs really make you a better pilot.
I'm going to finish my PPL in the 172. Hopefully I'll be done by the end of the month. I need to log another hour of cross country time and 3 hours night. Then 3 hours of practice for the check ride. I'm set up for three times a week so unless I have problems, I should get this taken care of. Then I'm going to try and get the 25 hours in the complex a little quicker, we will just have to see how that goes. I only live about 5 miles from the airport and I can fly everyday, if I can find an instructor to go up with me.
