Sorry for the delay in communicating the progress of these mirror mounts. Had to do some jobs that were necessary to pay the rent and buy a bag of groceries. So here is the latest picture after making about 4 prototypes and making slight adjustments to the CAD file each time. It was made using the quick prototype machine. It is machined out of plastic to save time and money, but the final piece will be out of aluminum and might have a slightly different shape to ease the machining process. The point of the quick prototype is to get all the important dimensions in the correct locations and then it can be transferred to aluminum. Still have another change to make with the female slots to maximize engagement but almost ready for the metal version. Next update will not take as long.
