Glad you got your bits back and have verified the engine number. I guess a lot depends on what you want to do with the engine...was it going to be a straight 3.4 rebuild or were you going to sleeve it to a 3.8? If you are going back to a 3.4 and you have some work already done at the bottom end, I would ship everything to Don Weaver at EBS in Reno. Your rebuild will be about 8k not the 20 you mentioned. I believe that price is for the teardown, sleeving and rebuild with some extra goodies. Don can have the LN work done as well if that is what you want. The sleeving and pistons/rings cost about 4500 bucks on top of the rebuild.
Don has an excellent reputation and is a lot closer to you. Good luck with your choice.
