+1 Get a cheap used PC. They usually come with a lot of usefull programming. Businesses always are upgrading or going out of business. Plenty of PC's from those sources. They usually don't do Apple. And PC's are much more flexible when adding components. Also you learn more with PC's about computers than with Apples.
