Pit Bull Trailer Restraint System

LCP and myself decided we needed a quick system for installing our bikes in the trailers.

As many of you might know, the BMW with telelevers and fairings are not the easiest bikes to tie down.

We decided on the Pit Bull Trailer Restraint System that was shown to us by a fellow we went to NorCal with last October.

The beauty of the system is that you just attach it to the rear axle, push the bike into the trailer and the mount latches just hook up, so all you have to do is install the safety pins.

We have BST aftermarket wheels on the HP2's, so we got in touch with Pit Bull and they made us custom pins for our wheels at a very reasonable price.

I did have to re-drill one pin hole to make it work correctly, no big deal, other than that the system works quite well.

The 12S pictured is not quite as stable as the HP2 due to the length of the left pin. Both bikes would work fine with the Pit Bull restraints, but if you are putting two bikes in the trailer as pictured, I would put one strap to the outside of the trailer, then to the bike frame, to stop the bikes from moving too much.

This system leaves much more room in the trailer because of no tie downs.....

If you decide to remove the system, all that remains is the base plate and 4 mushroom heads.
