My good friend Vernon White was Willy's tour manager for years. He passed away about 10 years ago but he told many stories that keep me laughing to this day.
My favorite was of the tour bus getting stopped somewhere in the south and the state troopers bringing the drug-sniffing dogs on board. He said that the dogs got so high and disoriented that they were doing things like pointing to the shift knob and barking.
