Jryerson, thank you for being one of the last "non-Politically Correct" people left on this board, who is not afraid to voice an OPINION.

ks911: You say to Jryerson: "I am sorry that you don't care for my car or ideas but I did not ask your opinion before I started this project and your name is not on the title." Just a hint: If you don't want people to comment on your project, you should try keeping off the Internet. You have the right to post it, people have the right to comment on it (and will comment on it, that's the nature of a public forum).

RarlyL8: You say to Jryerson: "JRYERSON - it may be difficult for you to grasp (in true Porsche arrogance) but some folks just happen to have a talent for engineering that vastly exceeds your own. I've driven a V8 S10 for a decade with no problems whatsoever, on a daily basis. No bucket of bolts, to compromises, everything vastly superior to the stock vehicle." So, just because something is well engineered, makes it good?!? Did you check out the link above with the guy putting in a 3 cyl Geo Metro engine in a '72 911? The engineering is immaculate!! Still don't make it right. (I am not saying whether a V8 is right or wrong, just that your logic doesn't work).

I am not saying who is right or wrong on the merits of the V8 debate. Its just amazing that in this world, people that cry out for "open mindedness" are usually the first to attack someone who has an opinion different from their own.

I personally think this board was a better place when posters were a bit more "thick skinned," and people were not afraid to voice opinions or hear dissenting opinions. Was more interesting.

Just my opinion.
