Yeah Cliff. Remington 1100 20 gauge. The MIL let my daughter borrow it. After hunting with it she prefers an O/U due to the ease of loading/unloading and I agree. Just gotta find the dough to buy one. Kinda like the CZ line of upland O/U...
We split the birds, brined them lightly, then smoked them over apple wood. We froze most of them and pulled them out to make creamed smoked pheasant over the course of the winter. The house was always exited when that smokey smell filled the house. Delicious!
