I didn't think Porsche used Torx, rather 12 point sockets, but this is OT so maybe the OP was not specifically referring to Porsches in which case yes, that is a great solution.

I wasn't referring to Porsches, though I am very familiar with their 12 point fasteners from my 944 track car. Stripped a few of those too.
Just thought I'd pass along the tip for those who work on "other" cars.
