started a new project- Boston Whaler refurb

Last year I picked up a 13 1/2 ' Whaler for next to nothing. Came with a 30 hp Johnson outboard and a good fairly new galvanized trailer. It waited in line for other projects to be completed but now is her turn. I had stripped out the interior last year, was pretty easy as the interior was rotted. It had a " stick " steer which I had never seen before. I am converting to a conventional stainless steel Whaler wheel which I recently purchased. Anyway yesterday was a nice day in Georgia so I fired up the compressor and got out the DA sander and started sanding the spider cracks in the interior. I plan on getting the interior in good shape and then shoot some high build primer and then a 2 part poly paint. Then the hull will be flipped over and I will do the same on the bottom. I think she will clean up well and for not much money she'll be a looker again. The new mahogany interior will cost almost as much as I payed for the entire rig I just want to end up with a good, solid little boat to go on local lakes and do some fishing/boating/relaxing. I always liked the Whalers and now have one, can't wait to get this on the water Here's a few pics of the " SS what a wreck "
