here at some digs, the u/a tucson team was digging up pit houses. we rode up on dirty bikes and asked "what cha doing?" and they explained and while we were there, the found a male pelvic bone buried roughly 12-14 feet down.
we asked "why so deep?" and they answered............SEDIMENTATION! over the last 1000 years.
go figure.
