It depends what $$$ you want to spend. I am not appreciative of expensive champagne.It is wasted on me! Of course the best is French(Mumm? and the above good brands are mentioned). To me Spanish champagne is acceptable - I believe the last Champage I had was a Spanish - Friquet. Perhaps you have friends that can recognize a good champage by its taste. To me it is overated but when the occasion justifies it go for it! Try a bottle for taste before u commit to a case.
