I grew up calling adjustable wrenches Cresent wrenches. All of the ones I ever saw had "Cresent" on it and we didn't have any other tools with Cresent on them so why not. Well, a couple of years ago At a 928 event I was given a very nice 200 piece Cresent tool set from one of owners of the Cresent tool company. Every one of the tools EXCEPT the adjustable wrench had the name "Cresent" embazened on it. The adjustable wrench just has 'Heavy Duty" on it. Funny. He didn't even know.
