I guess it could be something else.
Many very short years ago I had a 64 Plymouth convertible. The cat next door used to sleep on it and when he woke up he would stretch and hook his claws into it. If you chased him he would hook into it to get traction. Looked just like your pic. I finally reported it to animal control. Owners got fined for no license/rabies shot and letting it run loose Not sure what happened to it but it stopped sleeping on my top..
