Not a bad idea, and something I considered while putting in the screws. You know, she's never scratched that high before. Just around the doorknob was as high as she's gone. But if she's got a top edge to work on, maybe she'll try to rip out the sheet.
I took some sandpaper to the edges. Should that be enough? Or do I have to use a light grinder on it?
In the meantime, I worked on the fan housing after dinner. On the coffee table, no less. Still can't get that blasted alternator out of the fan housing. Sounds like I might just drop off the whole shebang at TRE and let them work it out. Reminds me of one of those chop shop/tuner shows on TV. They took some 944 and set out to trick it out. The guy commented that unlike the stuff he was used to working on, the Porsche was so well put together that even after he took off all the bolts it was still hard to get parts off the chassis.
